Dr. Murr studied Biophysics at the University of Kaiserslautern and subsequently received her PhD from Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research / Johannes Gutenberg-University in Mainz.
This work involved the development of innovative and complex micro fluidic systems, for example, for biological assays, in part in collaboration with the Institute for Mikrotechnik Mainz (IMM, Mainz/Germany). Murr’s appointment significantly strengthens CDA’s expertise in microfluidics with additional real-world practical experience of both designing and realizing micro fluidic systems.
Murr’s role at CDA – Project Manager of Microfunctional Solutions – is to assess and optimise proposed customer designs with regard to the practicalities of manufacturing, to manage key accounts and project collaborations, and to review CDA’s micro fluidics product strategy in view of CDA’s other popular technology platforms (optical micro elements and micro arrays, printed electronics and displays).
