
DILAS, the diode laser company, now delivers 10 W output power from a multi-single emitter based 450 nm, 400-micron, 0.22NA, fibre-coupled module developed for cinema projection and medical applications.
Through the optimisation of optical parameters, DILAS’ modular multi-single emitter architecture delivers high beam quality and high power using DILAS’ expertise in beam shaping and fibre coupling. The result is enhanced scalability, beam quality and fibre coupling efficiency.
DILAS’ 450 nm fibre-coupled, multi-single emitter module offers significant advantages in efficiency, footprint and reliability over conventional lamp-based technology used in cinema projection. The modular design allows further scalability to higher powers.
In conjunction with DILAS’ 638 nm, 40 W fibre-coupled module, the blue and red emitting modules only need to be combined with solid-state-laser-generated green light for true RGB projection.
