
Small precision part manufacturing professionals within the fields of medical, aerospace, connector and automotive industries are invited to a free one-day seminar on small part machining strategies and live machining demonstrations utilising the Bumotec S-191 staged by Starrag UK at the Medical AMRC, Sheffield, on Tuesday 26 February 2014.
The event will showcase the cost-effectiveness and accuracy of the latest Bumotec S-191 high-precision mill-turn machine, with the opportunity to discuss the latest machining techniques, tooling and process strategies demanded by the small precision parts market. Starrag UK in partnership with Medical AMRC will have industry specialists on hand at the event explaining the benefits of single set up of up to six-sided machining with the bonus of lights out capability.
Bumotec S-191 mill-turn machines feature ultra fast machining strategies, a 2 micron precision capability, linear drives, high torque spindle with “shock control” technology, up to 90 position tool magazine, auto part loading, unmatched process rigidity and programmed using the latest Fanuc control, all contained within a workshop friendly small footprint.
The Medical AMRC is a newly-established facility to lead the UK in developing healthcare technologies of the future, building on the success of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) and the Nuclear AMRC.
