The future of watchmaking and high-precision takes shape through fifty innovations
A truly international platform for innovation in the high-precision watchmaking, jewellery, microtechnology and medical sectors, the EPHJ Show is publishing a precious Digest for the first time, bringing together the 50 innovations presented at the 2024 event. These innovations offer a concrete glimpse into the future of these sectors.
The 23,000 trade visitors from Switzerland and abroad who visit the EPHJ show each year are unanimous: they are impressed by the innovative capacity of the exhibiting companies. Whatever their size, from start-ups to major groups, these companies compete in ingenuity to astonish their market and provide real added value.
In this way, some major innovations that can change the reality of a sector rub shoulders with small technological improvements in the production chain that may have a more modest impact but can contribute to economies of scale, productivity gains, greater efficiency, greater precision, improved safety, more sustainable machining or better quality control.
EPHJ has therefore decided to support this movement, to make these innovations even clearer and to share them better by publishing the first edition of the EPHJ Innovation Digest in three languages (French, English and German). Without necessarily being exhaustive, readers will find the 50 innovations that were presented at the 2024 edition.
Each innovation is accompanied by a description of the sector(s) concerned, although many of them are cross-disciplinary and apply to the high-precision sectors represented at the Show, particularly in terms of machinery. Also of note is the emergence of AI in a number of innovations and genuine advances in the microtechnical processing of certain materials.
This initiative complements the visibility given to the innovations nominated each year for the Exhibitors' Grand Prix and the Innovation Forum, which was held during the 2024 edition.
We look forward to seeing you at the 23rd EPHJ from 3 to 6 June 2025.
