As a leading manufacturer of industrial lasers, Luxinar proudly presents its LXR® ultrashort pulse (USP) laser platform at booth #5301 at Photonics West, held at The Moscone Center in San Francisco, USA, from 27 January to 1 February 2024.
With a quarter-century of expertise in industrial laser technology, Luxinar's LXR® USP platform features 24/7 operation readiness, a cutting-edge design and highly modular architecture. This innovative platform allows precise fine-tuning of the laser to meet each customer's specific needs by leveraging the following key features:
- pulse energy up to 150µJ
- power from 20-180W
- beam quality of M2 < 1.2
- selectable pulse width from 800fs-12ps
- wavelengths of 1030nm, 515nm and 343nm
Luxinar's LXR® platform provides customers with advanced digital control over laser pulse output, switching effortlessly between standard, burst and fast-burst modes to meet the diverse requirements of production applications. Moreover, its hardware and software interface ensure seamless integration into production lines, simplifying the programming of operational parameters and enabling precise synchronisation of laser emissions.
Antonio Raspa, Luxinar’s Solid State Laser Product Manager, conveyed his excitement, stating, "We are pleased to unveil our modular LXR® platform, designed with our customers in mind. The advancements in our USP lasers across the IR, UV, and green spectrums are creating avenues for exploration in fresh markets and applications, particularly in the realm of ultrahigh precision micro- and nanofabrication of critical components."
Luxinar also exhibits its SR 25 AOM sealed CO2 laser source with integrated acousto-optic modulator (AOM) at Photonics West. The SR AOM range of sealed CO2 lasers, SR 10 AOM and SR 25 AOM, is ideal for high-precision applications that require a reduced heat affected zone (HAZ) and a high-quality cutting edge such as microfilm cutting in the flat panel display market and scribing, engraving, marking and surface patterning applications. Both lasers, at a wavelength of 9.3µm, offer rated powers of 150W for the SR 25 AOM and 75W for the SR 10 AOM. The integrated AOM ensures fast optical rise and fall times of less than 1µs to minimise unnecessary heat energy compared to typical pulse rise/fall times of approximately 60µs.
Yannick Galais, Luxinar’s Sales Director, shared his enthusiasm: "Introducing our customer-centric modular LXR® platform is a moment of great excitement for us, as it paves the way into new markets and applications requiring ultrahigh precision in industrial applications. It is the ideal complement to our widely adopted series of CO2 lasers, which are extensively used in diverse industrial sectors. Additionally, we extend a warm welcome to Alex Vaysberg, our new Sales Manager for North America, who is looking forward to engaging with existing and new customers at the Luxinar booth during Photonics West."
